Privacy Policy

Turnzo is a queue and front-desk platform operated by AK Labs (“Turnzo”, “we”, “us”), based in Bengaluru, India. We provide the software that businesses use to run their walk-in queues.

When a customer joins a business’s queue through Turnzo, the business is the data controller of that customer’s information — they decide what to collect and why. Turnzo acts as the processor, storing and processing that data on the business’s behalf and under its instructions. For a business owner’s own account information, Turnzo is the controller.

• From business owners: name, mobile number, business and outlet details, and login information.
• From customers who join a queue: name, mobile number, and visit details — token number, selected service, timestamps and status.
• Where a business sets them: preferences and notes about a customer (e.g. preferred stylist, “prefers mornings”), held for that business’s own records.

We use this data only to run the service and provide each business its own records:

• Run the queue and show customers their live position and estimated wait.
• Send transactional notifications — and, where used, payment requests — over WhatsApp or SMS.
• Give the business its own customer and visit history so it can serve people better.

Use is purpose-limited — we don’t repurpose this data for unrelated ends.

By joining a queue and providing their mobile number, a customer consents to receiving queue-related notifications for that visit. Customers can ask the business (or us) to stop and to delete their data.

Visit, contact and preference data is retained for the business’s records for as long as needed to provide the service, unless deletion is requested. Customers may request deletion of their data at any time (see “Your rights”).

• We do NOT sell personal data.
• We do NOT use one business’s customer data for another business, or for our own marketing.
• We rely on infrastructure sub-processors to operate — cloud hosting, a WhatsApp messaging provider, and payment infrastructure — who process data only to deliver these functions. Contact us at hello@turnzo.app for the current list.

Subject to applicable law, you can request to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your data.
• Raise a grievance — write to our grievance contact at hello@turnzo.app.

Data is access-controlled and isolated per business; phone numbers are restricted and never exposed to other customers or businesses. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and handle any breach in line with applicable law.
